Our wonderful MC's Kathy and Louis will escort everyone into the foyer at Naumi Hotel bar, pick up your complimentary glass of wine or beer and settle in to the sultry sounds of Thomas Stowers iconic singer songwriter to enjoy yr surroundings and relax in the outdoor garden bar amongst friends, mini golf and casual connection. DJ Brown Sugar is "in the house" to entertain us after the BIG SCREEN viewing of episodes 1 and 2 of "Chief of War" the star of the show. We anticipate this to be every 30-40mins. Top up your beverages before the next episode begins! Bar is open for continued service.
This event is supporting C.O.W AE water stunt pros Kath Williams for "Na Wahine o Ke Kai" and Jaksyn Hepi-Ngarongo for "Moloka'i Hoe" to tautoko their haerenga to train and race waka ama outrigger canoe in Hawaii for 4 weeks starting Sept 2025. Kath and Jaxn both live locally in Māngere too! 275 represent!
The Moloka'i Hoe is a downwind race 68km across the Ka'iwi Channel fm Moloka'i to Hale o Lono O'ahu.
Up to 4hrs in duration its reserved for experienced elite athletes representing their chosen countries worldwide to race for top 3 placings in 2025.
